Publishing & custom domains
A preview is a real, working site — but it isn't public until you publish it.
Publishing
In the studio, press Publish. OffPress builds a production version of your site and serves it at your-site.offpress.app over HTTPS. Publishing is free; you can republish as often as you like as you keep editing.
Your dev preview and your live site are separate, so you can keep experimenting without affecting what visitors see — then publish again when you're ready.
Connecting your own domain
To serve the site at your own address (for example www.yourbrand.com):
- Open your site in the dashboard and go to Settings.
- Add your custom domain.
- Create the DNS record we show you at your registrar.
Once DNS propagates, OffPress issues an HTTPS certificate automatically and serves your site at your domain. No certificate management on your side.
Moving an existing domain
If the domain currently points at your WordPress host, publish and verify everything looks right on the .offpress.app address first, then switch the DNS record. Because every URL is preserved, the cutover is seamless for visitors and search engines.
