Editing your site
Editing your site
The OffPress studio is a chat window next to a live preview. You describe a change; it makes the change on the real site and you watch it happen.
Build mode vs. Chat mode
- Chat is free. Ask questions, plan changes, explore ideas — "what would a darker theme look like?", "how do I add a newsletter?". Nothing is modified.
- Build makes real edits to your site. Each build costs a small number of credits (see Billing & credits).
Toggle between them at the bottom of the studio.
Good prompts
The studio understands your site's structure, so you can be specific or broad:
- "Make the navigation bar navy with gold links."
- "Add a three-column features section under the hero."
- "My old site had a testimonials slider — recreate something like it."
- "Tighten the spacing on the blog cards and use a larger title font."
It can even look at your original site or any reference URL you give it to match a look.
Reviewing and undoing
Every build is saved to history. If a change isn't right, ask for an adjustment — or use revert to roll back to a previous version. You're never stuck with an edit you don't like.
Clarifying questions
If a request is ambiguous, the studio will ask before spending credits — so you stay in control of what gets built.
